Job Description
Job Title: Barista, Detroit Airport
Company: Delaware North
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay: $17.4 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, an hourly rate of $17.40 for a Barista position at Detroit Airport is generally below the average pay for baristas in urban settings, particularly in high-traffic areas like airports. Typically, baristas in metropolitan areas can expect to earn between $12 and $20 per hour, depending on factors like experience, location, and whether tips are included. Given Michigan’s rising minimum wage and cost of living adjustments, along with the high demand for service workers in busy environments like airports, the wage of $17.40 may be seen as less competitive, especially if it does not include tips or benefits that could enhance the overall compensation package.
