The opportunity
Delaware North Travel is seeking full-time Baristas to join our team at Detroit Airport in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will provide exceptional guest service by mastering coffee knowledge and recipes, educating both teammates and customers, and preparing beverages to brand specifications. What will you do?
– Inform guests about additional menu items and employ suggestive selling techniques.
– Serve food and beverage items in proper proportions while adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
– Assist with the opening and closing of the location.
– Perform clean-up duties, including cleaning of equipment.
– Accurately record all transactions using the point-of-sale system, maintain cash counts, and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.
– Collect payments for food and beverage items, process credit card transactions, and ensure correct change is given to guests.
Physical requirements
– Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions are required.
– Ability to remain stationary for the entirety of the shift.
– Capability to lift stock weighing up to 50 pounds.
