Job Description
Job Title: Barista, Detroit Airport
Company: Delaware North
Location: Detroit, MI
Pay: $17.3 per hour
AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $17.30 for a barista position at the Detroit Airport appears to be competitive when considering the typical wage range for baristas in urban areas. As of 2023, barista wages in Michigan generally range from approximately $13 to $18 per hour, depending on factors such as experience and location, with airport positions often offering slightly higher rates due to the fast-paced environment and unique customer service demands. Additionally, this wage may be enhanced by tips, which are common in the food and beverage industry. Given the cost of living in Detroit and the specific demands of working in an airport, $17.30 is likely aligned with industry standards and could be considered a reasonable wage for this role.
