The opportunity
Delaware North Travel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Detroit Airport in Detroit, Michigan, with options for full-time or part-time employment. In this role, you will provide outstanding guest service by mastering coffee preparation techniques and recipes, sharing your knowledge with team members and customers, and crafting beverages according to brand specifications. What will you do?
– Engage guests by promoting additional items and utilizing suggestive selling techniques.
– Serve food and beverages in appropriate proportions, adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
– Assist with the opening and closing procedures of the location.
– Conduct clean-up duties, including the maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
– Record all transactions through the point-of-sale system, ensuring an accurate cash count and balancing cash drawers at the end of your shift.
– Process customer payments, including cash and credit card transactions, ensuring correct change is provided.

Physical requirements
– Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
– Capability to remain stationary throughout the entirety of your shift.
– Ability to lift stock and other items weighing up to 50 pounds.
