Job Title: Barista, Detroit Airport

Company: Delaware North

Location: Detroit, MI

Pay: $17.4 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $17.40 for a Barista position at the Detroit Airport appears to be slightly above the average pay for baristas in the region. As of 2023, baristas in Michigan typically earn between $14 to $16 per hour, depending on experience, location, and the specific employer, with airport positions often offering higher wages due to the added responsibilities and variable schedules. Additionally, the rate may be competitive considering the airport’s higher cost of living and operational demands. However, it’s essential to factor in tips, which can significantly impact a barista’s total earnings, potentially enhancing the attractiveness of this rate. Overall, while $17.40 is a competitive wage, it aligns closely with industry standards when considering the additional context of working in an airport setting.
