Job Summary: As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee and espresso drinks, as well as related food and beverage items. You will ensure food safety in accordance with HACCP guidelines and uphold our standards for quality service. A pivotal aspect of this role involves creating a friendly and courteous atmosphere for our customers and fellow employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS system and handle cash and credit payments.
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies while maintaining a clean service area.
  • Ensure proper presentation and portion control, adhering to HACCP standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
  • Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
  • Keep display equipment clean during meal service.
  • Thoroughly clean equipment and workstations before transitioning to other assignments.
  • Greet customers warmly and engage with them to ensure satisfaction, relaying any concerns to supervisors.
  • Serve customers promptly to prevent delays.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of daily menu items and clearly explain them to customers.
  • Actively promote selling techniques through effective communication to assist customers in their decision-making process.
  • Ensure all display foods are attractively merchandised and served neatly, in accordance with standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
