Job description:

We are urgently seeking qualified candidates for both full-time and part-time BARISTA positions.

This position is located at Capital One, 167 Easton Town Center, Columbus, OH 43219. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

Available schedules will include both full-time and part-time options, with varying days and hours. Candidates with open availability, particularly on weekends, are preferred. Further details regarding the schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

While prior barista experience is highly regarded, it is not required as we are happy to provide training for the right individual.

In addition to a competitive pay rate of $16.00 per hour, tips are included as a valuable part of the compensation package.

Job Summary:

As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and associated food and beverage items, adhering to HACCP guidelines and maintaining exemplary standards of quality service. You will engage with customers and team members in a friendly and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering, utilizing standard measures and recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process cash and charge payments.
• Maintain stock of condiments, beverages, and supplies, while ensuring cleanliness of the service area.
• Follow HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Ensure sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Prepare food in accordance with approved recipes and production standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized display equipment during meal service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and workstations before transitioning to other tasks.
• Greet customers courteously and ensure their satisfaction, communicating any concerns to supervisors.
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently to minimize delays.
• Have a comprehensive understanding of daily menu items, providing accurate explanations to customers.
• Advocate for effective selling techniques, aiding customers in their decision-making process.
• Merchandize display foods attractively according to standards, serving food neatly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
