We are actively seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Barista position at Zoetis Kalamazoo, located at 333 Portage Road, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

Job Summary:
The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items. Duties include handling food in accordance with HACCP guidelines and maintaining high standards of quality in food-service operations. The role also requires friendly and courteous interaction with customers and fellow employees.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS device and process cash and charge payments.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while ensuring cleanliness in the service area.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures, adhering to HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and organization of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Follow approved recipes and prescribed production standards for food preparation.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and workstation before transitioning to other assignments.
• Greet customers courteously and engage in ways that promote customer satisfaction, relaying relevant concerns to supervisors.
• Serve customers efficiently to prevent delays in service lines.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of daily menu items and accurately communicate them to customers.
• Utilize effective selling techniques to assist customers in their decision-making processes.
• Ensure all display foods are attractively merchandised according to standards and served neatly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
