Job description:

We are seeking to fill a full-time Barista position immediately at our Amway Corp location in Ada, MI. The role entails creating and serving high-quality coffee and espresso drinks, along with accompanying food and beverage items. Our ideal candidate will possess previous barista experience and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in customer service.

Location: Amway Corp – 7575 East Fulton Street, Ada, MI 49301. Please note that applications will only be accepted online.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with a schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM; specific days may vary, and further details will be provided during the interview.

Compensation: The pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour, and an internal employee referral bonus is available. We are also willing to provide training for the right candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare espresso orders using standard measures and recipes for customers and catering.
  • Accurately enter orders into the POS device and process cash and credit transactions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the service area while replenishing condiments, beverages, and supplies.
  • Adhere to HACCP guidelines and ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures.
  • Keep equipment, supplies, and utensils sanitized and orderly.
  • Execute food preparation according to approved recipes and production standards.
  • Clean and maintain display equipment during service to ensure a neat environment.
  • Greet customers warmly and engage with them to guarantee satisfaction, relaying any concerns to supervisors.
  • Serve customers efficiently to minimize delays in service lines.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menu items and provide accurate explanations to customers.
  • Employ effective selling techniques and assist customers in their decision-making process.
  • Merchandise display foods attractively and serve them in an appealing manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
