Job Title: BARISTA (FULL TIME)

Company: Compass Group

Location: Benton Harbor, MI

Pay: $16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, an hourly rate of $16 for a full-time barista position in Benton Harbor, MI, is somewhat competitive but may vary significantly based on local cost of living and the specific establishment’s pay structure. According to industry data, baristas in similar regions typically earn between $12 to $18 per hour, with some higher-end coffee shops or those in urban areas offering more. Given Benton Harbor’s cost of living, $16 aligns reasonably well with the lower to mid-range of industry standards, especially factoring in tips that many baristas receive, which can enhance overall earnings. However, to assess full competitiveness, it’s also essential to consider benefits offered, such as health insurance and flexible scheduling, which can add significant value to the overall compensation package.
