Join our team as a Barista in our Corporate Dining Café at Westfield Insurance in Westfield Center, OH, conveniently located just 20 minutes from Medina and Wadsworth. Metz Culinary Management is expanding, and we are looking for enthusiastic Baristas passionate about crafting exceptional hot and cold coffee and tea beverages. We seek energetic team players with a positive attitude who excel in delivering exceptional customer service within a bustling college atmosphere.

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Barista is essential.
  • Familiarity with the operation of brewing equipment.
  • Valid SERV Safe Certification.
  • Physical stamina to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand for extended periods.
  • Capability to consistently lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, oral communication, and basic math skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously prepare, stock, and maintain your workstation throughout the day.
  • Greet guests to ascertain their coffee preferences and needs.
  • Educate guests by explaining the coffee drink menu and addressing inquiries.
  • Prepare and serve a diverse range of coffee drinks according to established recipes and techniques, alongside pastries, sandwiches, and other food offerings.
  • Uphold a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Accurately handle cash transactions and operate the cash register.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, train new hires, and engage in cross-training opportunities.
  • Conduct weekly inventory assessments and compile order lists.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational integrity of all equipment consistently.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested by the Operations Manager.
