We are actively recruiting for a part-time Barista position, with immediate hiring available.

Location: Ohio Health – 300 East Town Street, Columbus, OH 43215. Please note that only online applications will be accepted.

Job Summary:
The Barista will prepare and serve coffee and espresso beverages, along with related food and beverage items. This role requires compliance with HACCP guidelines and quality food-service standards while ensuring a friendly and courteous interaction with customers and colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering while adhering to standard measures and recipes.
• Accurately input orders into the POS system and handle cash and charge transactions.
• Maintain an organized service area by replenishing condiments, beverages, and supplies, ensuring cleanliness.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures in accordance with HACCP standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of kitchen equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards to ensure quality food preparation.
• Keep display equipment free from debris during service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and workstation before transitioning to other assignments.
• Greet customers warmly and ensure a high level of satisfaction, addressing relevant concerns to supervisors when necessary.
• Serve customers efficiently to minimize delays in service lines.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of daily menu items and effectively communicate them to customers.
• Employ selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting customers in their decision-making process.
• Ensure display foods are attractively merchandised and served in a neat manner according to standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
