We are currently seeking to fill a part-time Barista position at Youngstown University, located at 1 University Circle, Youngstown, OH 44555. Please note that only online applications will be accepted.

Job Summary:
As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee and espresso drinks, as well as related food and beverage items, while adhering to HACCP guidelines and ensuring quality food service operations. Your role will involve interacting with customers and colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS device; accept cash and charge payments.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining the cleanliness of the service area.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures, in accordance with HACCP standards.
• Maintain the sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
• Keep display equipment clean and free of debris during service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and workstation before transitioning to other assignments.
• Greet customers courteously and ensure their satisfaction, relaying any relevant concerns to supervisors.
• Serve customers efficiently to minimize delays in serving lines.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of daily menu items and accurately explain them to customers.
• Advocate for selling techniques through effective communication and support customers in their purchasing decisions.
• Ensure display foods are attractively merchandised according to standards and served neatly.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
