Job Title: BARISTA (PART TIME)

Company: Compass Group

Location: Detroit, MI

Pay: $16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: An hourly rate of $16 for a part-time barista position in Detroit, MI, is slightly above the minimum wage but may be considered lower than competitive depending on experience and specific job expectations. As of 2023, baristas in the U.S. typically earn between $12 to $20 per hour, with higher rates in urban areas and larger coffee chains often including tips, which can significantly boost total earnings. In Detroit, the cost of living and demand for baristas could push for a higher hourly rate, particularly if the role involves additional responsibilities or specialty skills. Overall, while $16 is decent for entry-level positions, it may not fully align with industry standards in a competitive job market.
