Job Summary:

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items while adhering to HACCP guidelines. This role includes maintaining a clean and orderly service area and ensuring customer satisfaction through friendly interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standardized measures and recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and handle cash and credit payments.
• Maintain cleanliness of the service area by replenishing condiments, beverages, and supplies.
• Ensure proper food presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures while following HACCP standards.
• Keep all equipment, supplies, and utensils organized and sanitized.
• Utilize approved recipes to guarantee quality food preparation standards.
• Maintain display equipment cleanliness throughout meal service.
• Thoroughly clean the workstation and equipment before transitioning to other assignments.
• Greet customers courteously and address their concerns to ensure satisfaction.
• Serve customers promptly to prevent delays.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of daily menu items and clearly communicate them to customers.
• Employ effective selling techniques to assist customers in their decision-making.
• Ensure that food displays are attractively arranged in accordance with standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
