Job description:

We are currently seeking to fill a part-time Barista position at Miami Valley Hospital South, located at 2400 Miami Valley Drive, Centerville, OH 45459. Please note that applications are accepted exclusively online.

The schedule for this part-time role includes weekdays with hours that may vary, as well as alternating weekends and holidays. Additional scheduling details will be provided during the interview process. While one year of prior barista experience is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement.

Job Summary:
The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving coffee and espresso beverages, as well as related food and beverage items. This position involves adhering to HACCP guidelines and maintaining standards of quality food service operations. A friendly and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and fellow employees is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standardized recipes.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process cash and credit payments.
• Restock condiments, beverages, and general supplies while ensuring cleanliness in the service area.
• Maintain proper presentation and portion control, adhering to HACCP standards.
• Ensure sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for all food preparation.
• Keep display equipment clean and free from debris during service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and work areas before transitioning to other tasks.
• Greet customers courteously and address any concerns by relaying them to supervisors.
• Serve customers swiftly and efficiently to minimize wait times.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of daily menu items and relay this information to customers effectively.
• Utilize effective selling techniques to assist customers in their decision-making process.
• Present all display foods attractively in accordance with established standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
