Job description:

We are seeking to fill a full-time Barista position at the Cleveland Clinic Starbucks, located at 2049 East 100th, Cleveland, OH 44106. Online applications are being accepted exclusively.

The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, with no late nights or weekends required. Shifts are scheduled from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 9 AM to 5:30 PM.

Candidates with previous barista experience are preferred. The hourly pay range is between $15.00 and $17.00.

Job Summary:
As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a range of coffee and espresso beverages, as well as related food and beverage items. You will adhere to HACCP guidelines and uphold quality standards while providing exceptional customer service in a friendly and courteous manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso orders for customers and catering using standardized recipes and measures.
• Accurately enter orders into the POS system and handle cash and credit transactions.
• Replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies, ensuring the service area remains clean.
• Maintain proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures, adhering to HACCP standards.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of all equipment, supplies, and utensils.
• Follow approved recipes and production standards for food preparation.
• Keep display equipment clean and free from debris during meal service.
• Thoroughly clean equipment and workstation after completing tasks.
• Greet customers warmly and address their needs to ensure satisfaction, conveying relevant feedback to supervisors.
• Serve customers efficiently to minimize delays in service.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of daily menu items and effectively communicate them to customers.
• Employ effective selling techniques by establishing rapport and assisting customers in their decision-making.
• Ensure that all food displays are attractively merchandised and served according to standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
