Position Overview:
In alignment with the Wallick Mission and Values, the Barista is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service by preparing high-quality coffee beverages for residents and guests. This role collaborates closely with the Food Service team to ensure smooth operations and to cultivate a welcoming environment.

Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent required
– Minimum of one year of experience as a barista or in a related role preferred
– Exceptional customer service and communication skills
– Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in beverage preparation
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
– Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
– Familiarity with health and safety regulations

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
– Brew Barista coffee and specialized daily offerings
– Prepare specialty beverages per customer specifications and established recipes
– Maintain open lines of communication with management regarding product and supply needs
– Adhere to the uniform dress code to ensure a professional appearance
– Support team members as needed, promoting a collaborative work atmosphere
– Place orders for necessary products on-site
– Conduct weekly inventory assessments to maintain adequate stock levels
– Stand and/or walk during 50% of shifts
– Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs and frequently lift up to 10 lbs for stocking and other tasks

Physical Demands:
This position requires considerable walking, stooping, bending, balancing, and kneeling. The ability to lift up to 60 lbs is necessary.

Work Environment:
While performing your duties, you may occasionally work in hot, wet, or humid conditions (non-weather-related). Regularly, you will work in both cold and hot kitchen environments, and occasionally near moving mechanical parts, toxic chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
