Job description:

Delaware North Travel is seeking part-time Bartenders to become integral members of our team at Detroit Airport in Detroit, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with a focus on responsible service and providing an exceptional guest experience.

Please note that this is a tipped position; the stated hourly minimum wage does not account for potential earnings from tips.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately fulfill drink orders from guests and servers, handle payment transactions, and provide correct change
• Mix beverages according to standardized recipes and proportions
• Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly while verifying identification and adhering to all alcohol service policies and procedures
• Compile accurate sales and inventory reports
• Maintain bar inventory by ordering liquors, beverages, condiments, and supplies as needed

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in front-of-house operations in a high-volume bar or restaurant setting
• Proficiency in cash handling and credit card processing
• Familiarity with computerized point of sale systems

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions constantly
• Capability to lift stock weighing up to 50 pounds on occasion
• Tolerance for moderate to high noise levels during peak periods

Shift Details

• Day and evening shifts available
• Flexible scheduling including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• 8-hour shifts
