Position Summary
The Bartender is accountable for serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages across various concession locations. The ideal candidate must exhibit a personable and professional demeanor while thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include preparing and serving alcoholic beverages in accordance with state and federal regulations. This position offers an hourly rate of $10, plus tips.

About the Venue
Baseball is returning to Columbus! Synovus Park, located in downtown Columbus, GA, will serve as the home for the Columbus Clingstones, a Minor League Baseball affiliate of the Atlanta Braves. During its inaugural season, Synovus Park will host 69 professional baseball games.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, with the ability to upsell effectively.
  • Adhere to bar pre-shift notes and menus, delivering service as specified.
  • Verify guest IDs and enforce responsible alcohol service, including implementing guest cut-offs when needed.
  • Address guest requests and de-escalate situations with intoxicated patrons while involving management or security as appropriate.
  • Operate the register accurately, ensuring the bar remains clean and well-stocked.
  • Request additional products or restock supplies as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including setting up and breaking down bar equipment and assisting with cooler organization.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of six months bartending experience is required.
  • Proven experience operating a register in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to work independently as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and extended shifts.
  • Bartending school certification is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a friendly, positive attitude towards coworkers, managers, volunteers, and guests.
  • The role requires extensive and continuous standing and walking.
