Job Title: Bartender

Company: Upshift

Location: Warren, MI

Pay: $15 – 20 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $15 to $20 for a bartender in Warren, MI, is somewhat competitive but slightly on the lower end of the spectrum when considering the broader context of the bartending industry and local cost of living. As of 2023, bartenders in Michigan generally earn an average rate of approximately $12 to $18 per hour, with tips significantly boosting overall compensation—potentially bringing total earnings well above $20 per hour, especially in busy establishments. Given the additional income from tips, the proposed rate may be acceptable; however, it may not fully reflect the skills and experience required for more specialized bartending roles or those working in high-demand venues. It would be beneficial for employers to consider this factor in attracting and retaining talent in a competitive labor market.
