We are currently seeking a compassionate and committed Part-Time Behavior Technician to join our team in a 2nd shift capacity. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering exemplary home care services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual behavior therapy services to individuals with special needs, including both children and adults.
  • Implement treatment plans and behavior support strategies developed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Document and maintain accurate records of client progress, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including caregivers, parents, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure continuity of care and optimize client outcomes.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards while fostering a safe and supportive environment for clients.
  • Assist with the assessment and observation of client behavior, identifying areas of concern and recommending appropriate interventions.
  • Engage in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of behavior analysis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or a commitment to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with special needs or behavioral challenges is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards.
  • Flexible availability, including the capacity to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Aptitude for providing compassionate care with sensitivity to individual needs and cultural differences.
  • Must be capable of meeting the physical demands of providing ABA Therapy to children of all ages, sizes, and abilities.
  • Capacity to lift at least 40 pounds from the floor, utilizing proper body mechanics and posture as required.
  • Ability to bend, squat, and reach while assisting in physical play and engagement with clients, as needed.
  • Readiness to walk, run, and climb when necessary to promote client safety and meet care needs consistent with BTPRC qualifications.
