Job Title: Bistro Cook

Company: Aimbridge Hospitality

Location: Portage, MI

Pay: $16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, an hourly rate of $16 for a Bistro Cook in Portage, MI, appears to be on the lower end of the spectrum. Nationally, the pay for cooks typically ranges from $14 to $20 per hour, depending on experience and establishment type, with some regions offering even higher wages due to demand. In Michigan, the average hourly wage for cooks is generally around $15 to $19. Given the cost of living in Portage and the need for skilled culinary workers, this rate may be less competitive, especially for positions that require specialized skills or culinary training. Therefore, while $16 may meet minimum wage standards, it may not attract high-quality candidates or retain them long-term in a competitive job market.
