Job Title: Bistro Cook

Company: Courtyard

Location: Portage, MI

Pay: $16 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: As of October 2023, an hourly rate of $16 for a Bistro Cook in Portage, MI, is generally within the lower to middle range of industry standards. According to various labor market reports, the typical hourly wage for cooks in similar settings across Michigan tends to range between $14 to $20, depending on experience, the complexity of the role, and the establishment’s location. While $16 is competitive for entry-level positions, seasoned cooks or those with specialized skills in higher-end dining establishments may expect wages above this mark. Overall, this rate is adequate but may not fully reflect the increasing cost of living or adequately compensate for experience in a more demanding culinary environment.
