Job description:

Position offers compensation of $28.55 per hour. The role involves operating blow molding production machines and various manufacturing equipment as assigned. Responsibilities include the setup, operation, and monitoring of a blow-molding computer for specific production runs, as well as managing product changeovers. The role necessitates conducting quality assistance checks and ongoing production process evaluations and adjustments to meet operational standards. In addition, the position may entail raw material handling, filling, capping, sealing, labeling, and packaging of products. The operator is responsible for removing any damaged products or supplies as needed, overseeing production, package, and flavor changeovers. Regular maintenance of product inspection processes is also required, along with basic troubleshooting and minor repairs to ensure the efficient functioning of production equipment.

The position requires frequent lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of cases weighing between 20 to 45 pounds for extended periods. Candidates must be able to walk or stand for the majority of their shift and may also need to perform activities such as stooping, crawling, and crouching beneath conveyors. Additionally, weekend and holiday work may be necessary.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Remove or reposition materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper workflow.
  • Guarantee the quality of packaging and products.
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Efficiently and safely operate all manufacturing equipment, including new technologies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to good housekeeping practices to ensure a clean work environment.
  • Expedite any necessary repairs to the production line in collaboration with maintenance personnel.
  • Keep accurate daily records of downtime and machine operations.
  • Foster a collaborative environment by working effectively in a team.
  • Maintain consistent, reliable attendance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:

  • Familiarity with blow molding computers, including setup for production runs and monitoring output.
  • Experience in blow molding production/processing, emphasizing materials management, thermal stability, and process checks.
  • Knowledge of blow molding product quality assurance measures, including pre-production testing and periodic quality checks against specifications.
  • Background in high-speed production lines, adapting to fast-paced environments.
  • Proficient in operating pallet handling equipment, including forklifts, and managing product stacking and bundling.
  • Capable of operating packing and filler machines, ensuring product mix integrity and managing production computer operations.
  • Experience with palletizers, proficient in building and managing product changeovers.

  • Knowledge of sanitization procedures in alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices, including risk identification.
  • Skills in performing minor mechanical repairs and conducting preventative maintenance.
  • Proficient in using basic math, reading comprehension, and computer literacy.
  • Experience with basic documentation preparation, detailing workflows, and utilizing standard operating procedures.
  • Active engagement in troubleshooting basic mechanical systems with hand tools when necessary.
