Job description:
The role entails the effective management, monitoring, and scheduling of batch jobs utilizing BMC Control-M/Enterprise Manager within a production control environment catering to both mainframe and distributed systems. Additionally, there may be a requirement for weekend and holiday shifts on an occasional basis.

Key Responsibilities:
– Schedule and manage jobs through BMC Control-M/EM.
– Analyze and resolve batch workload issues, including job abends, leveraging JCL and TSO/ISPF.
– Monitor alerts, escalate issues, and liaise with support personnel to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
– Document incidents and tasks accurately in ServiceNow.
– Employ tools such as Nagios, IP Monitor, and Tivoli to identify server-related issues.

Mandatory Skills/Experience:
– 2-5 years of experience with BMC Control-M/EM for job scheduling and management.
– Proficiency in JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SDSF for mainframe systems.
– Strong verbal and written communication skills.
– Familiarity with batch processing in mainframe and distributed systems.
