Job description:

Robert Half Finance & Accounting has partnered with a reputable, locally owned organization to identify a skilled Bookkeeper to join their team. This pivotal role is essential to the overall success of the organization, where you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling bank statements and diligently recording and posting daily expenses, including credit card transactions and miscellaneous vendor expenses.
  • Processing ACH transactions, transferring funds, and reviewing activities from the previous day.
  • Recording cash receipts, processing checks, and accurately managing cash box details.
  • Reconciliation of retail sales, vendor purchase orders, and shipping ticket records as necessary.
  • Processing and issuing manual checks, ACH payments, and vendor payments.
  • Preparing and posting payroll entries to the general ledger.
  • Handling sales and use tax filings.
  • Generating financial reports for management and assisting with the month-end closing processes.
  • Adjusting depreciation schedules and locking accounting periods as required.
  • Assisting with audits, year-end CPA adjustments, and annual reporting.
  • Implementing CPA-required adjustments and supporting insurance audits.

Requirements:
