Job description:

In search of a Full-Time Branch Maintenance Director at the Louisville Area YMCA.

Salary: $43,888 – commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall coordination of facility maintenance, including the planning and development of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of all mechanical systems, including pool equipment, heating and cooling systems, filtration systems, electrical and plumbing systems, exercise equipment, and other related building systems.
  • Complete repair work and projects in a timely manner while supervising all contractors working within the facility and on the grounds. This may involve requesting and reviewing bids and recommending contractor selection.
  • Provide overall supervision and coordination of housekeeping services.
  • Develop and implement a system to accurately record and track equipment warranties, the age of equipment, replacement parts, and repairs.
  • Ensure that adequate supplies and equipment are readily available as needed, while maintaining an inventory of items subject to heavy wear.
  • Collaborate with external agencies, such as fire, health, and building departments, to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to facilities and grounds.
  • Develop budgets that support preventative and annual maintenance plans, and monitor expenditures against the budget.
  • Recruit, hire, train, develop, schedule, and direct assigned staff and volunteers. Evaluate performance and develop strategies to motivate staff and achieve organizational goals.
  • Participate with fellow management members in the YMCA’s fundraising campaigns.
  • Advise management on maintenance issues and projects as requested.
  • Collaborate as part of the leadership team to assess the annual plan of capital projects, in alignment with the YMCA’s strategic plan.
