Job description:

Job Summary
The Complimentary AM Attendant plays a pivotal role in delivering exemplary service to guests in the complimentary breakfast area of our hotel. This professional will be knowledgeable about hotel brand standards, guest expectations, and the distinctive features of both the hotel and the surrounding local area.

Compensation: $15/hour
Schedule: Weekend availability required;

  • Weekday shift: 6 AM – 11 AM
  • Weekend shift: 7 AM – 11:30 AM

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to execute job functions with meticulous attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, inclusive of evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages and successfully complete responsible serving courses such as TIPs, as mandated by the property.
  • Ability to obtain and present a Food Handler’s card as required by local government regulations.
  • Strong decision-making skills to swiftly evaluate and select the best courses of action.
  • Capability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations while serving guests and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with hotel products and guest services.
  • A positive demeanor, a genuine interest in serving others, and an eagerness to learn new tasks and information. This includes providing support to team members and responding to guests and coworkers with positivity.
  • Basic understanding of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Proficient in creating high-quality beverages, including specialty coffee, tea, cocktails, and other drink requests as needed.
  • Skills in basic numerical operations (counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing).
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and draft simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Capable of effectively engaging with internal and external customers, demonstrating patience, tact, and diplomacy as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Interact with guests and team members in a friendly, attentive, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Adhere to regular attendance in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and hotel scheduling needs.
  • Maintain exemplary personal appearance and grooming, ensuring adherence to uniform standards and wearing a name tag during shifts.
  • Comply consistently with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Serve guests promptly and professionally with all food and beverage requests, identifying services that will enhance their stay.
  • Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper presentation of menus.
  • Clear, clean, and reset tables and hotel areas per client requests or management instructions.
  • Keep bar and food service areas stocked, organized, and clean; complete all side work duties during each shift.
  • Accommodate special guest requests or suggest suitable alternatives.
  • Communicate special requests and needs of in-house VIPs with all relevant departments.
  • Assist in all aspects of beverage and food service, including dishwashing, restocking, cleaning surfaces, managing waste disposal, and maintaining cleanliness in work areas.
  • Answer the telephone according to established standards.
  • Understand and implement standards for receiving room service orders.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of menus and current specials across all departments.
  • Perform cashiering functions, including closing checks and completing end-of-shift paperwork.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures and side work duties as per the assigned rotation.
  • Provide accurate information about the hotel, brand standards, guest expectations, and local area attractions.
  • Perform additional tasks or attend meetings as requested by management.
