Starting Pay Rate: $25.05 per hour, increasing to $29.47 after a 180-day progression
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8-hour shifts, with potential for overtime

Primary Purpose
Collaborate with crews to efficiently load and unload barges, trucks, and rail cars using a variety of equipment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Load and unload bulk products such as coal and salt as part of a team.
  • Operate various equipment, including but not limited to end loaders, forklifts, and hand tools.
  • Diagnose issues and conduct maintenance on bulk handling equipment, ensuring operational compliance.
  • Service and lubricate machinery, validating repairs through operational tests.
  • Assist in transportation and movement of bulk materials as directed.
  • Participate in housekeeping duties within the work area and assist in maintaining equipment as guided by supervisory personnel.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Experience and Specific Knowledge

  • Prior experience operating mobile equipment, including forklifts and skid steer loaders, is preferred.

Competencies, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and clear verbal communication is essential.
  • Willingness to obtain forklift certification, if necessary.
