Job description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable male caregiver to provide assistance to an elderly gentleman living with dementia in a home environment. The ideal candidate will possess experience in caring for seniors with dementia and demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the individual in their care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and emotional support to the client.
• Assist with daily activities, including dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Support mobility and transfers, which may involve light lifting.
• Remind the client to take medications as prescribed.
• Aid in meal preparation and feeding.
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition or behavior to family members or medical professionals.
• Engage the client in cognitive stimulation and activities suited to their condition.

Qualifications:

• Prior caregiving experience, especially with elderly individuals or those experiencing dementia, is required.

• Must successfully pass a background check and provide references.
