As a caregiver at Homestead, your responsibilities will include:

– Assisting residents with daily living activities including transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
– Maintaining a clean and safe environment, which may involve light housekeeping.
– Adhering to all safety and health standards, including strict infection control procedures.
– Monitoring changes in residents’ conditions and communicating concerns to your supervisor promptly.
– Administering medications and injections according to medical charts.
– Following established schedules to assist residents with repositioning.
– Documenting medication administration accurately and in compliance with procedures.
– Exercising good judgment to ensure client care and safety.
– Collaborating with team members to ensure comprehensive care.
– Completing required documentation and charting in a timely manner.
– Responding to call lights and assessing residents’ needs efficiently.
– Assisting residents with meal trays and eating.
– Performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for this position include:

– Ability to pass a criminal background check.
– High school diploma or GED.
– Reliable transportation.
– Availability to work every other weekend.
