Job description:

Homestead Health Care is actively seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide exceptional support to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The successful candidate will assist residents with daily living activities while offering companionship and emotional support. Experience in medication administration is essential, and candidates must be comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physician’s orders.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ well-being.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the living environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Prior experience working with the elderly population is preferred.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID.

Schedule:
This position is part-time, with Caregivers scheduled for 8-hour shifts. Availability for every other weekend is a requirement.
