Job description:

Homestead Health Care is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Caregivers to provide exceptional care to our residents in Clinton Township, MI. The Caregiver will play a vital role in assisting residents with their activities of daily living and will offer companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to build authentic relationships with seniors.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Administer medications in accordance with physicians’ orders.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Maintain a clean living environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
  • Report any changes in residents’ conditions to the supervisor promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and coworkers at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Capable of passing a criminal background check.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license or state-issued ID.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, while adhering to punctuality for every shift.

Schedule:

This position is part-time, with Caregivers scheduled for 8-hour shifts. Availability for every other weekend is required.

Pay:

Starting hourly pay is $15.00, with potential for growth.
