Job description:

We are excited to announce that Kingsley Senior Living Facility in Canton, MI, is seeking dedicated Care Staff to join our team. Our state-of-the-art facility has been thoughtfully designed with the safety and well-being of our senior residents in mind, providing both assisted living and memory care services.

As a member of our care staff and medication technician team, you will play a crucial role in supporting residents with their daily activities while promoting their independence and ensuring their safety. Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintain cleanliness within the facility, which may involve light housekeeping duties.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including infection control standards.
• Monitor residents for any changes in condition and communicate such changes promptly to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections according to medical documentation.
• Follow scheduled routines and assist residents with repositioning as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation of medications administered.
• Utilize sound judgment while providing care and ensuring resident safety.
• Collaborate with and assist fellow team members with their respective duties.
• Complete all required documentation and charting accurately.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents’ needs accordingly.
• Assist with meal tray delivery and support residents during mealtime.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
• Availability to work every other weekend.
