Oakleigh of Macomb Senior Living, located in Macomb, is seeking a dedicated Caregiver specializing in Memory Care. Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with essential care needs, including but not limited to dressing, grooming, bathing, and incontinence care.
  • Maintain cleanliness within the living environment, which may involve light housekeeping tasks.
  • Monitor and assess changes in residents’ conditions and promptly communicate any concerns to the supervisor.
  • Utilize sound judgment to ensure the safety and comfort of clients.
  • Engage professionally with families, support services, and colleagues to foster effective communication.
  • Adhere to all safety and health protocols, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience working with residents diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend.
  • A positive demeanor and punctuality for all scheduled shifts.
