Currently, we have openings for midnight shifts, from 10 PM to 6 AM. There is a clear pathway for advancement as all new hires start as caregivers, with opportunities to train as a Medication Technician.

As a caregiver at Homestead, your responsibilities will include:

– Assisting residents with daily living activities, including transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
– Maintaining a clean environment, which may include light housekeeping duties.
– Complying with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
– Assessing changes in residents’ conditions and communicating promptly with supervisors.
– Administering medications and injections to residents as prescribed based on medical charts.
– Following established schedules and assisting residents with repositioning.
– Adhering to documentation procedures regarding medications.
– Exercising good judgment in providing client care and ensuring safety.
– Collaborating with fellow team members to fulfill their duties.
– Completing all required documentation and charting.
– Responding to call lights and assessing residents’ needs.
– Assisting with meal trays and supporting residents during meals.
– Performing other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements for the position include:

– Ability to pass a criminal background check.
– High school diploma or GED.
– Reliable transportation.
– Availability to work every other weekend.
