The Caregiver will play a vital role in assisting residents with their activities of daily living, while also providing companionship and emotional support. Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADL), including, but not limited to, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Administer medications according to physician’s orders and accurately monitor and document residents’ medication intake.
  • Support residents with mobility challenges, ensuring their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, performing light housekeeping tasks as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates on residents’ well-being and any changes in their condition to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Capable of passing a criminal background check.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is required.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license or identification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with punctuality for all shifts.
