We are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic Caregivers to join our team within our Senior Living Community in Allen Park, MI.

As a Caregiver, you will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide essential companionship and emotional support. If you have a passion for making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and possess the required qualifications, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

  • Support clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to residents.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, while accurately monitoring and documenting residents’ medication intake.
  • Assist residents with mobility challenges, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, which may include performing light housekeeping tasks as necessary.
  • Provide regular updates regarding residents’ well-being and any changes in their conditions to the supervisor.
  • Communicate professionally with families, support services, and colleagues at Homestead.
  • Adhere to all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
  • Experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work every other weekend is mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation is essential.
  • A valid driver’s license or ID is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team, ensuring timely arrival for all scheduled shifts.
