Job Title: CAREGivers Needed

Company: Home Instead Senior Care

Location: Washington, MI

Pay: $14.5 – 16.5 per hour

AI Pay Analysis: The hourly rate of $14.50 to $16.50 for the “CAREGivers Needed” role in Washington, MI, is generally competitive but may vary depending on specific market factors. As of my last knowledge in October 2023, the average hourly wage for caregivers in Michigan typically ranges from $12 to $18, depending on experience, certifications, and the complexity of care required. The offered rate falls within this range and reflects a reasonable compensation level for entry to moderately experienced caregivers, particularly in the context of rising living costs and demand for caregiving services. However, comparing this rate to local living costs and the compensation offered by other employers in the area is essential to determine its competitiveness more precisely.

Job description:

Our community is in need of dedicated individuals – we are seeking CAREGivers!

We invite you to join Home Instead as we strive to support our aging population. We are currently hiring both full-time and part-time CAREGivers to fulfill the vital role of ensuring seniors remain safe, comfortable, and in their own homes. Home Instead offers a range of non-medical services designed to empower seniors to age with dignity, compassion, and care.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing companionship and engaging in meaningful conversations
  • Assisting with light housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Offering medication reminders and escorting clients to appointments
  • Supporting personal grooming and bathing activities
  • Assisting with toileting and managing incontinence issues
  • Providing specialized care for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients
  • Previous experience is advantageous, but not mandatory

All CAREGivers will undergo comprehensive training tailored by Home Instead, culminating in an in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. This training equips CAREGivers with the skills necessary to aid clients in grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility. Upon completion, CAREGivers will be well-prepared to support clients’ emotional, physical, and mental well-being.

Qualifications for CAREGivers include:

  • A commitment to treating seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Effective and congenial communication skills
  • Proven reliability and trustworthiness
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screening
  • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, including two weekends per month

We offer a variety of shifts with competitive compensation.

At Home Instead, we take pride in our personalized approach to care.
