Our community requires dedicated individuals to join our team as CAREGivers. At Home Instead, we believe in supporting our aging adults, and we invite you to be a part of this vital work. We are currently hiring full-time and part-time CAREGivers to help ensure that seniors remain safe, comfortable, and at home. Our organization offers a range of non-medical services tailored to help seniors face the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing companionship and engaging in meaningful conversation
- Performing light housekeeping duties and meal preparation
- Reminding clients about medications and upcoming appointments
- Assisting with grooming and bathing
- Supporting clients with toileting needs and managing incontinence issues
- Offering specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia
- Previous experience is welcome but not mandatory
All CAREGivers will undergo comprehensive training designed by Home Instead, which includes receiving in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. This training will ensure that you are well-prepared to assist clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility challenges, empowering them to achieve emotional, physical, and mental well-being.
Qualifications:
- Ability to treat seniors and their property with dignity and respect
- Strong communication skills, with a friendly and congenial approach
- Proven reliability and trustworthiness
- Completion of a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screening
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, including two weekends per month
