Job Position Description:
We are seeking a Floor Care Maintenance Technician to join our team, dedicated to maintaining various floor surfaces, primarily carpet, along with some VCT. Responsibilities include hand mopping and vacuuming, with the added advantage of being able to operate a walk-behind floor machine. Adherence to machine maintenance standards is essential. This part-time position requires availability Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The role does not involve stripping and waxing, and the hourly wage is $15.25.

Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Performing hand mopping tasks.
  • Following established chemical safety procedures.
  • Adhering to a maintenance task schedule for equipment on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Participating in on-the-job training for individuals who demonstrate a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn.
  • Drawing from prior experience in a professional janitorial capacity, such as in an office complex, hotel, hospital, or school, is advantageous.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Fostering a positive work atmosphere through a pleasant demeanor and a commitment to teamwork, including being punctual and properly attired in uniform.
  • Exhibiting respect and understanding toward colleagues and clients.
  • Communicating effectively in English, or utilizing a translation tool when necessary.
  • Having reliable transportation to commute to work.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

  • The position requires constant physical activity, including standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, and reaching overhead or forward. Candidates must be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.
