Job description:
We are currently seeking to fill a full-time and part-time Cashier/Food Service Worker position with immediate hiring. The workplace is located at Case Western Reserve University, 2109 Adelbert Road, Cleveland, OH 44106. Please note that we only accept online applications for this role.

In this role, you will be responsible for operating the Point of Sale (POS) system, providing support to the Chef, preparing beverages, and maintaining cleanliness at the coffee and cashier stations.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist in the preparation of various food items, including meats, vegetables, baked goods, and desserts, as well as catering orders.
– Execute cashier duties using the POS system.
– Perform general cleaning tasks, including waste disposal.
– Provide excellent service across all retail areas, including cashiering and food service.
– Accurately process transactions, ensure cash accuracy, and handle deposits at the end of each shift.
– Monitor inventory, restock supplies and food products as needed.
– Set up serving lines, check and record food temperatures, and alert cooks if any items fall outside safe temperature ranges.
– Serve both hot and cold food items to customers.
– Manage daily setup of items for sale.
– Maintain refrigerator stock and ensure proper rotation of products.
– Record stock levels and refrigerator temperatures daily on designated forms.
– Complete additional tasks as assigned.
