Job description:

We are seeking to fill both full-time and part-time Cashier/Food Service Worker positions immediately at Henry Ford Providence Novi Hospital, located at 47601 Grand River Avenue, Novi, MI 48374. Please note that applications will be accepted online only.

In this role, you will operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, assist the Chef, prepare coffee, and maintain cleanliness at the coffee and cashier stations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing various food items, including meats, vegetables, baked goods, and catering orders.
  • Perform cashier duties accurately using the POS system.
  • Execute general cleaning tasks and manage waste disposal.
  • Provide service in all retail areas, including cashiering and serving.
  • Follow established procedures to maintain cash accuracy and complete deposit transactions at the end of each shift.
  • Inventory and restock supplies and food products as necessary.
  • Set up serving areas, ensuring food temperatures are monitored and within acceptable ranges, and notify cooks if issues arise.
  • Serve both hot and cold items to customers.
  • Ensure items for sale are properly displayed on a daily basis.
  • Monitor refrigerator stock, adhering to a first-in, first-out rotation.
  • Maintain pantry stock at appropriate levels, documenting replenished amounts as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
