We are currently seeking to fill part-time Cashier positions at Henry Ford Providence Hospital, located at 16001 West 9 Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48075. Please note that we only accept online applications.

Job Summary: As a Cashier, you will be responsible for conducting cash transactions, verifying the cash drawer, processing customer payments, issuing change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. Additional duties may include general food service tasks. You will be expected to maintain sanitation standards in all preparation, service, and dining areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Record all sales transactions in the cash register to ensure precise documentation of purchases.
• Handle cash and alternative payment methods, issue receipts, and process refunds according to standard procedures.
• Engage with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Safeguard all assigned funds and cash receipts, ensuring compliance with cash control measures.
• Monitor café line purchases and ensure appropriate portioning.
• Replenish service area supplies while maintaining cleanliness.
• Maintain an adequately stocked pastry case.
• Adhere to company service standards and inventory management procedures.
• Comply with all sanitation and safety requirements, including ServSafe standards.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required.
