Role Overview:
SodexoMAGIC is seeking an experienced Catering Manager for our newest Campus Dining account at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. In this role, you will supervise Sodexo resources, recipes, systems, and catering programs, guiding the execution of daily catering events that encompass food production, inventory management, product deliveries, invoicing, and procurement operations. Additionally, you will oversee the sales process for catering and conference service events while collaborating with clients and customers to design tailored events. This position will function as the assistant to the Catering Director.
This account is part of the SodexoMAGIC business portfolio, a joint venture between NBA Hall of Famer Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Sodexo. What You’ll Do:

– Review all catering event orders and weekly catering sheets to ensure accuracy.
– Organize events, guaranteeing timely setup and consistently exceptional service from staff.
– Conduct regular event walk-throughs to assess service quality and ensure customer satisfaction.
– Provide ongoing training on proper service techniques, customer service, and organizational skills.
– Hold pre-shift meetings to enhance organizational efficiency and ensure continuous safety training.

What You Bring:
