Job description:
SodexoMAGIC is seeking a Catering Manager for our latest Campus Dining account at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. This position will be responsible for overseeing Sodexo resources, recipes, systems, and catering programs to manage daily catering events effectively, encompassing food production, inventory management, product deliveries, invoicing, and procurement operations. The Catering Manager will also be in charge of the sales processes for catering and conference service events, collaborating with clients and customers to design and implement memorable events. This role will function as the Assistant Catering Director.

Key Responsibilities:
The Catering Manager will:
- Review all catering event orders and weekly catering sheets to ensure accuracy.
- Organize events, ensuring timely setup and consistently superior service from staff.
- Perform ongoing event walk-throughs to assess and enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver continuous training on proper service techniques, customer service skills, and organizational protocols.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to ensure operational efficiency and reinforce safety training.
