Role Overview:
SodexoMagic is seeking a skilled Catering Manager 4 to join our team at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. As the designated provider for campus-wide catering, we manage a diverse range of events, making this a pivotal role for our operations. The senior-level Catering Manager will be responsible for the oversight of all catering functions on campus, including the development of innovative event concepts, establishing partnerships, and managing all facets of our catering program.

What You’ll Do:
The Catering Manager will be responsible for:
– Reviewing all catering event orders and weekly catering sheets to ensure accuracy.
– Organizing events to guarantee timely setup and providing exceptional service through our employees.
– Conducting frequent event walk-throughs to assess service quality and customer satisfaction.
– Offering ongoing training in service techniques, customer service, and operational organization.
– Leading pre-shift meetings to ensure efficiency and continuous safety training.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirement – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience – 3 years
Minimum Functional Experience – 3 years in catering, food production, food service management, or a related field.
