Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to various customers using a tractor-trailer. This includes proper delivery and unloading of products in accordance with customer invoices and company standards.

Responsibilities:

• Unload products from the trailer, whether manually or with a hand cart, and place them in designated customer storage areas while adhering to customer specifications and company standards.
• Complete all required paperwork in accordance with established company and governmental guidelines, ensuring accurate and timely submission of documents such as DOT logs, inspections, and invoices.
• Adhere to food safety protocols, ensuring that proper temperatures are maintained during transport and that products are inspected and stored to prevent cross-contamination, while also helping to maintain sanitary conditions in both the tractor-trailer and warehouse.
• Foster positive relationships with customers by delivering excellent service and maintaining clear communication.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Required Minimum Education/Experience:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent degree, along with a minimum of one year of tractor-trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a tractor-trailer driving school may be accepted as an alternative to, or in addition to, a high school diploma.

Certifications and/or Technical Requirements:

• A valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License is required, and candidates must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and ongoing employment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Familiarity with DOT regulations, Hazmat guidelines, and safe delivery practices.
• Skills in long-distance driving across various terrains and weather conditions, effective customer communication, problem-solving, and product delivery.
• Ability to operate a tractor-trailer during both day and night, remain alert and aware of surroundings, meet or exceed productivity levels, handle hazardous materials and various types of products, and effectively perform basic mathematical functions related to the job.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands for this position include:

• Regularly sitting, talking, and hearing, along with frequent lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing up to 50 pounds by hand, and maneuvering up to 350 pounds using a hand cart.
• Climbing in and out of both the tractor and trailer, reaching to arrange pallets and carts, bending and twisting during loading and unloading, and retrieving items from the trailer. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The work environment may expose associates to varying weather conditions, including wet, hot, extreme cold, and humidity, as well as moving mechanical parts and confined spaces.
