Schedule:

  • 85% of driver routes allow for daily home time.
  • Standard schedule typically consists of four 12-hour shifts.
  • Saturday deliveries may be required.
  • Coverage of driver vacations may involve some night routes and overnight hotel stays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate trucks to deliver products to customers, adhering to scheduled delivery times.
  • Unload products with the use of a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, ensuring placement in designated storage areas.
  • Verify delivery accuracy and obtain necessary signatures from customers.
  • Collect payments when applicable and handle customer service responsibilities to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure safety and compliance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull products weighing between 20 to 80+ lbs. repetitively during each shift.
  • Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions, with frequent stops (10+ stops per shift).

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the FMCSA Clearinghouse is required.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence, with appropriate endorsements and DOT qualifications, is necessary.
  • A minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (in any industry) or three months in the food and/or beverage delivery sector is required.
  • Proficiency in operating a manual transmission is preferred and may be required in specific locations.
  • Candidates must be able to read and communicate effectively in English, including the ability to converse, comprehend highway traffic signs, respond to official inquiries, and complete reports and records.
